MOUNTAIN VIEW CHURCH | san juan capistrano
The Mountain View Church project was a special one. To convert a building that had previously spent many years as a variety of farmers market type grocery stores that just couldn’t gain footing in the community. The property was owned by the family of the original ranch owner that had farmed the land since the 1950s and had built the grocery store in the early 80s. The goal for this project was to create spaces that felt like home. A welcoming vibe where people feel cared fr from the moment they step onto the property and through its doors. Every space designed to flex and transform to meet the given needs for a church gathering as well as a community function. A small meeting or class to a children’s performance or a wedding celebration. Working with the church team to make not only the large decisions of rooms needed and the architectural configuration but the small details of colors, finishes, fixtures and furnishings. The end result speaks for itself and personifies Mountain View and its people.
